Hazards
- Bright ultraviolet light may cause eye discomfort with prolonged exposure.
- Housing becomes warm during extended operation.
- Electrical hazard if used around liquids.
- Trip hazard from power cord.
- May reveal fluorescent contaminants not otherwise visible.
Things to Avoid
- Do not use as a germicidal UV sterilization lamp.
- Do not use for UV resin curing unless specifically validated.
- Do not expose the fixture to rain or excessive moisture.
- Do not stare directly into the LEDs for extended periods.
- Do not cover the cooling surfaces while operating.
- Do not touch the housing immediately after prolonged use, as it may be hot.
Safety Checks
- Inspect power cord for damage.
- Verify mounting bracket is secure.
- Ensure ventilation openings are unobstructed.
- Position the light away from water or wet work surfaces.
- Confirm surrounding materials are not heat sensitive.
Operational Checks
- Position the light before powering on.
- Avoid looking directly into the LEDs.
- Turn off ambient lighting for best fluorescence.
- Allow adequate airflow around the fixture.
- Monitor housing temperature during extended use.
- Turn off before adjusting the mounting angle.
Cleanup
- Disconnect power before cleaning.
- Allow the fixture to cool before handling.
- Wipe housing and lens with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
- Store in a clean, dry location.
- Wrap the power cord loosely to prevent damage.
